Praying is an important element of being a Christian and is considered a way of communicating directly with God. How often a person prays is based on personal beliefs and which denomination they follow. There are many different choices that people make when it comes to frequency of praying. What practice do you follow?
For some, prayer is conducted at specific times of the day, such as morning and night and it becomes part of their daily routine . Part of this ritual may include prayers at other specific times, such as at meals, before bed or during religious holidays. Others may decide to pray a few times a week, spreading their routine over the week. Another common practice is to pray once a week, typically on Sunday sabbath by attending Church.
Some people follow the custom of spontaneous prayer and believe that praying should be a natural part of daily life, and not just limited to a particular time. They may pray at any time during the day, based on events or simply to seek God’s help..
While not everyone believes in regular prayer, most Christians feel it’s an important aspect of building a relationship with God. Ultimately, it is a personal decision and there is no one right answer.
