Does your faith inspire you to be charitable?

One of the most important Christian values is showing love and compassion for others and is mentioned throughout the Bible.  Like Jesus preached, helping those in need can have a positive impact someone's life.  Does your faith inspire you to help others?

Through volunteering and offering support, you can help to make the world a better place and positively impact the lives of others  Community service can include volunteering at a food kitchen or homeless shelter, helping to build homes for those in need, giving assistance to people affected by natural disasters or helping out a local non-profit organization.

Charity is another way of showing compassion, by donating resources. This can include giving money to your Church or other other organizations, or donating food, clothes or necessities. Simply choose an organization you want to help and find out what they need.  Not only will you make the world a better place, but you will fulfill one of Jesus’ most important teachings.

Every act of kindness that you perform can make a difference.  It doesn’t need to be big - anything is appreciated by those who are less fortunate and in need of help.  Open your heart and give a helping hand, as you’ll get something out of it as well.
