Do you believe in “Original Sin”?

The concept of “Original sin” is that all  people are born with the instinct to sin and rebel against God because of the sins of the first human couple, Adam and Eve, who disobeyed God’s commands in the Garden of Eden.  As a result, they became sinful and that was passed along to following generations.  Do you believe in it?

Original Sin leads to the belief that all human beings need redemption, which can be achieved through Jesus Christ.  By accepting Christ, we can be absolved of sin.  This also leads to the idea that we all feel guilt due to Adam and Eve/s sin.

It is a highly debated concept, with some believing that it is unfair to condemn all humankind to be sinful, while others believe it is just innate human nature.  Therefore, some people argue for it, while others argue against it, and still others are just not sure.  Either way, it is an important concept in Christianity and one that is often discussed among religious people.  It touches on areas such as philosophy, and plays an important role in people’s relationship with God and people in their lives.  No matter what you believe, humans are not perfect and are flawed, and many find spiritual relief through their faith.
